On November 5th and 6th, the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) approved the over-the-counter (OTC) listing applications of Advanced Echem Materials Company and Weleader, marking the 21st and 22nd companies to pass listing reviews this year. A total of 34 companies have applied for OTC listings this year, surpassing the initial forecast of 24.

Advanced Echem Materials specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of specialty chemical materials. Led by Chairman Wen-Hsiung Chan, its application was sponsored by Mega Securities, Fubon Securities, KGI Securities, and Taishin Securities, with an initial capital of NT$822 million.

In 2023, Advanced Echem Materials reported revenue of NT$2.364 billion, with after-tax net income of NT$318 million and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$3.86. In the first half of 2024, it recorded revenue of NT$1.55 billion, with an after-tax net income of NT$369 million, reaching an EPS of NT$4.47.

Weleader focuses on the leasing of in vitro diagnostic equipment, reagent sales, staffing services, and medical information platforms. Chaired by Kuo-Chung Chou, the application was supported by Taishin Securities and President Securities, with a registered capital of NT$416 million.

Weleader reported revenue of NT$941 million in 2023, with an after-tax net income of NT$152 million and an EPS of NT$3.71. In the first half of 2024, the company reported NT$488 million in revenue, with after-tax net income of NT$86 million and an EPS of NT$2.06.

This year, the total number of companies applying for OTC listings reached 34, significantly exceeding the initial goal of 24. As of now, 22 companies have already listed. Additionally, nine companies—Finesse, RAYZHER, Forcelead Technology, Family International Gourmet, Potens Semiconductor, WALRUS PUMP, Major Power Technology, Nextlink, and Yuh Shan Environmental Engineering—have passed TPEx board approval and are in the pipeline for OTC listing in the near future.
