Sharehope Medicine Expands Health Ecosystem, YES Health to Launch "Good Neighbor Alliance" IPOOct 11, 2024

Sharehope Medicine is actively building a comprehensive health ecosystem. On October 9, Chairman Fred Yang announced at an investor conference that their subsidiary, YES Health, has expanded its “Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance” in collaboration with local pharmacies. They aim to grow this alliance to 1,000 pharmacies by the first quarter of next year and prepare for an initial public offering (IPO). Additionally, the "Healthy Residence" project, developed in partnership with Taiwan Realty Group, will launch Taoyuan's first integrated medical and wellness apartment complex, expected to generate NT$60 million in cash flow next year.

Fred Yang noted that Taiwan has over 10,000 pharmacies, and the fierce competition among chain pharmacies has put pressure on local community pharmacies. The "Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance," established in partnership with the Federation of Taiwan Pharmacist Association, leverages YES Health's drug GDP (Good Distribution Practice) warehousing and logistics network. In its second phase, the alliance will develop private-label products and health supplements.

The "Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance" began accepting applications in February this year, and by July, over 1,000 pharmacies had joined, covering more than 12% of Taiwan's National Health Insurance pharmacies. The coverage rate is even higher in regions such as Penghu, Nantou, Hualien, and Taitung.

Yang highlighted that YES Health has initiated a four-year strategic plan, targeting 56 directly operated stores, 166 franchise partners, and 287 procurement partners by 2027. The "Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance" aims to reach 2,000 members. Given YES Health's affiliation with Mytrex Health Technologies, if the alliance demonstrates significant results, the company may be renamed and go public under the "Good Neighbor" brand as early as 2025.

Looking ahead to Taiwan’s official transition into a super-aged society by 2025 and the healthcare opportunities outlined by President Lai Ching-te in the "Healthy Taiwan" initiative, Sharehope Medicine is intensifying efforts to build a holistic health ecosystem. The company is incorporating smart technologies to connect hospitals, pharmacies, advanced health check-up centers, and medical information systems, offering more comprehensive healthcare services.

The highly anticipated "Smart Medical City" near Taoyuan Railway Station includes the "Healthy Residence," which occupies floors 6 to 18. There are 148 units, including luxury suites on floors 6-8, wellness apartments on floors 9-15, and long-term monthly rentals on floors 16-18, catering to various customer segments. To meet the rising demand for wellness residences, the 9-15 floors have been converted into Taoyuan’s first integrated medical and wellness apartments. This project, developed in collaboration with Taiwan Realty Group, offers exclusive elite membership access, sparking high demand upon its launch.

Yang stated that the wellness apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in the first half of next year, contributing NT$60 million in annual cash flow. Sharehope plans to replicate this model by seeking out suitable idle properties for future wellness apartment projects.

Furthermore, Min-Sheng General Hospital's Smart Health Management Center focuses on adult health checkups, offering comprehensive health assessments by physicians. It also provides medication management, psychological testing, exercise and nutrition plans, community care, cancer screening, and AI-based medical imaging diagnostics as part of its overall health management services.
