This acquisition strengthens Flat Medical's position in the global puncture and localization field by incorporating cutting-edge human tissue recognition technology.
The acquisition encompasses InjeQ’s intellectual property, technological assets, and the IQ-Tip® system, which has garnered FDA breakthrough device designation. This designation is awarded to advanced medical devices that have the potential to diagnose or treat life-threatening or irreversibly debilitating conditions.

The IQ-Tip® system is a smart puncture system based on bioimpedance technology, enabling precise identification of different tissue types. This enhances the accuracy and safety of a wide range of medical procedures.

There are numerous clinical applications where precise tissue identification is critical.
