Bora Pharmaceuticals is seeing the benefits of its recent acquisitions, with its US sales platform, USL, which joined the group in April of this year, announcing on the 6th the launch of its third branded generic drug, TORPENZ (everolimus) tablets, in the US market, on schedule. This move underscores USL's ongoing enhancement of its product portfolio and showcases Bora's efficiency in business integration post-merger.
TORPENZ tablets are an oral mTOR inhibitor used for patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), making it a treatment for a rare disease. USL's TORPENZ tablets are indicated for adults with renal angiomyolipoma associated with TSC who do not require immediate surgery, as well as for children and adults aged 1 year and older with subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (SEGA) associated with TSC that requires intervention but cannot be completely resected surgically.
Bobby Sheng, Chairman and CEO of Bora Pharmaceuticals, stated that USL's expanding portfolio of branded generic drugs for rare diseases and its ongoing commitment to support programs will significantly strengthen the group's global market sales operations. This strategy offers a competitive advantage by diversifying revenue streams and mitigating risks associated with dependency on single products and the competitive pricing of general generic drugs. Since the formal merger with USL in April, the team has launched its third branded generic drug on the original schedule. Going forward, Bora will leverage its resource advantages to continually strengthen this unique channel's product portfolio and brand advantages.
