ITIC and Taiwan-Japan Fund Lead Investment in Aged Care AI Leader Jubo Health, Completing NT$250 Million Series B FundingJul 16, 2024

Jubo Health, a leader in intelligent care solutions, has successfully completed its Series B funding round, raising NT$250 million and bringing its total fundraising to NT$620 million. In addition to previous Pre-B round investors such as Chia Hsin Cement Group, Wistron Corporation, Darwin Ventures, United Daily News Group, and Outstanding Management Consultants, new Series B investors include ITIC (Industrial Technology Investment Corporation), known for its long-term commitment to tech innovation, and the Taiwan-Japan No. 3 Fund, co-managed by ITIC and MUCAP (Mitsubishi UFJ Capital), which promotes Taiwan-Japan industrial cooperation and investment efficiency.

Jubo Health provides SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions, offering people-centric long-term care, daycare, and home care management solutions. Leveraging AI innovative technologies, Zhiling has become a market leader in the high-growth aged care market. Founder and CEO Shih-Chung Jessy Kang expressed gratitude for the international funding support, highlighting that this successful funding round not only validates Zhiling's innovative R&D capabilities but also underscores investor confidence in Zhiling's potential to expand into the North American and Japanese senior care markets using AI-driven long-term care solutions.

Cross-Border Innovation: Enhancing Care Quality through Taiwan-Japan Collaboration

Jubo Health officially entered the North American market at the end of 2022, with revenue from this market already accounting for 10% of the company's total within just one year. In 2023, Zhiling launched the trial version of JuboLink for Dental in Japanese dental clinics. This innovative solution monitors vital signs in real-time during surgical procedures, enhancing patient care quality and simplifying data management. The collaboration between Japanese care providers and Taiwanese technology represents a significant breakthrough for the care industry in both regions. By introducing advanced technologies such as intelligent health monitoring systems and AI diagnostic tools from Taiwan, Japanese care institutions can offer more efficient and precise services. With the latest international funding, Zhiling aims to further promote technical exchanges and innovations with Japan, enhancing the global competitiveness of the care market and ultimately providing better care experiences for patients.

The "Invisible Champion" in Care Technology with Over 30% Market Share

As Taiwan approaches a super-aged society by 2025, the health and welfare industry is expected to exceed NT$300 billion in value. Many companies have ventured into health and medical startups in recent years, and Jubo Health, founded in 2018 from a National Taiwan University tech project, has emerged as a leader in smart long-term care in Taiwan, often referred to as the "invisible champion" of care technology. The initial investment round was led by Dayeh Management Consultants and included strategic co-investment from the National Development Fund. The Series A round raised NT$195 million, and with the recent Series B funding of NT$250 million, Zhiling's total fundraising has reached NT$620 million.

Jubo Health boasts excellent innovation capabilities and forward-looking market vision, currently holding over 30% market share, cementing its position as Taiwan's invisible champion and market leader. In 2022, Zhiling began using generative AI to help nurses save time on record-keeping. This year, they launched JuboGPT, training a care application model capable of passing the nursing licensure exam, thus ensuring that automated results have professional endorsement. Additionally, Zhiling has developed systems like "Family Assurance Treasure" for family communication and shift record generation to maximize productivity and reduce reliance on care personnel. By continually optimizing AI software and hardware technologies, Zhiling enhances product performance and customer experience, gaining wide recognition domestically and internationally. Amid growing global demand for intelligent care, Zhiling actively expands its international business and collaborates closely with numerous global partners to advance smart healthcare and build a diverse and open intelligent care ecosystem.
