Three major businesses thriving: Grape king achieves strongest April revenue in historyMay 08, 2024

Grape King's three major business sectors have shown strong performance, with April revenue reaching a new high of 920 million NT dollars, a year-on-year increase of 16.89%. The cumulative revenue for the first four months reached 3.27 billion NT dollars, up 8.68% year-on-year. It is expected that in the second half of the year, Grape King's new ODM/OEM production line in Taiwan will begin shipping, injecting new momentum into its operations. Analysts are optimistic about the possibility of challenging a new revenue high for the year. 

Among the three major business sectors, Shanghai Grape King demonstrated the most outstanding growth, with April revenue increasing by 123.8% year-on-year and cumulative revenue for the first four months growing by 94.55% year-on-year. Shanghai Grape King's overall performance has been steadily growing under diversified development in OEM, proprietary brands, and channel layout. In terms of OEM business, preparations have recently begun for large-scale exhibitions to develop new customers. For proprietary brands – the mainland versions of ComeBest energy drinks and traditional Chinese medicine-based herbal drinks – both are planned to be launched for sale in chain convenience stores and regional pharmacy supermarkets in May. The overall performance outlook is expected to maintain a stable growth trend. 

In addition, Grape King's subsidiary, Grape Crowd, achieved a 14.03% year-on-year increase in April revenue, reaching a new high for the same period in the first four months with a 3.53% year-on-year increase. Currently in the peak season for the industry, compared to previous years, this year has seen a significant increase in the cumulative number of recruited members at job fairs. This wave of enthusiasm is expected to drive revenue to new heights. 

As for Taiwan Grape King, delayed domestic OEM production scheduling, the high base period condition of last year's proprietary brands in the drugstore channel, and concentrated shipments in March due to price adjustments for functional drinks led to a 13.53% year-on-year decrease in April revenue. However, with the launch of the new product ComeBest 200P EX, increasing shipment volumes and driving actual sales performance growth, coupled with Mother's Day health marketing activities and the peak season for summer beverages, it will inevitably drive a new wave of sales momentum. 

Furthermore, there has been a significant growth in orders for finished products of probiotic granules and bar packaging from overseas and for Grape King's proprietary raw materials – lactic acid bacteria and mushroom orders. Currently, orders for finished products have been scheduled until the third quarter, including demands for the soft capsule production line that started operation this year, with orders received for lutein and fish oil. Additionally, new capsule formulas are being developed sequentially to increase the diversity of orders for the soft capsule production line. The second phase of the ODM/OEM new production line at Longtan Biotechnology Research Institute is also expected to start shipping in the second half of the year, which will further boost overall revenue momentum.
