Following the commencement of trial operations at Kaohsiung Medical University Gangshan Hospital on the 22nd, Kaohsiung Show-Chwan Memorial Hospital is also expected to start trial operations in July. Show-Chwan Medical System announced that Chao-Chin Chao would assume the position of founding director of Show-Chwan, while Gangshan Hospital's deputy director Ching-Long Yu would be promoted to the position of director.
Show-Chwan Medical System has been entrusted to operate Kaohsiung Municipal Gangshan Hospital for 23 years. Show-Chwan is also planning to establish Show-Chwan Hospital and Health Park in the Southern Taiwan Science Park and along the Provincial Highway in Luchu. Starting in July, Show-Chwan will have two hospital locations in northern Kaohsiung.
Chao-Chin Chao, who has just taken over as director of Show-Chwan Hospital from Gangshan Hospital, participated in the unveiling ceremony of the "Healthy Friendly Community" in the Ailian community organized by Gangshan Hospital today. He stated that Show-Chwan is expected to commence trial operations in July and open officially in September. He hopes to form a strategic alliance with Kaohsiung Medical University Gangshan Hospital to leverage the medical resources of both hospitals and jointly safeguard the health of northern Kaohsiung residents.
He mentioned that Phase 1 of the Health Park will focus on medical care provided by Kaohsiung Show-Chwan Memorial Hospital, mainly focusing on emergency care, cancer treatment, and minimally invasive surgery. Phase 1.5 will include a health mall. Meanwhile, Gangshan Hospital will mainly provide care for chronic diseases and rehabilitation, allowing the elderly in the community to seek medical treatment nearby. Both hospitals will provide a more comprehensive medical service chain, including home care, community health promotion, emergency care, and long-term care.
Director Ching-Long Yu of Gangshan Hospital stated that the Ailian community has a high proportion of elderly residents. Since the third quarter of last year, the hospital has been providing shuttle services for community medical care to make it more convenient for the elderly to seek medical treatment. In the future, they will integrate telemedicine equipment and systems into community sites to efficiently manage various data collected by the elderly, ensuring their health.
Gangshan Hospital introduced blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, atrial fibrillation detection, bone density testing, health lectures, and horticultural therapy ten years ago, providing preventive medical services to residents of the Ailian community. Today, they held the "Healthy Friendly Community" unveiling event, attended by Chao-Chin Chao and Chinh-Long Yu, as well as Ailian District Mayor Hui-Ning Li, Director of Ailian Elderly Activity Center Yi-Chang Pan, and Ailian Village Chief Jing-Juan Huang.
