Qisda held a special shareholders meeting yesterday (March 14) to approve the application of its subsidiary, BenQ BM Holding Cayman Corp. (BBHC), to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for an initial public offering (IPO) and listing. This move aims to expand the group's medical services business and enhance revenue and profit growth.
Under BenQ Hospital Group, BenQ Hospital currently owns two large comprehensive hospitals with teaching center level accreditation: Nanjing BenQ Hospital and Suzhou BenQ Hospital. Additionally, it has invested in Donghui Hospital in Guigang, Guangxi. It is the largest entity in Qisda's medical business portfolio and serves as the flagship in the group's medical layout due to its proximity to the frontline needs of medical staff, nurses, and patients.
Qisda stated that the listing of BenQ Hospital will allow it to raise funds through diversified channels to enhance operational funds, optimize financial structure, further expand hospital scale, introduce specialized medical teams and equipment, and effectively increase industry visibility to attract outstanding talents. This will be conducive to increasing the group's revenue and profits.
Both Nanjing BenQ Hospital and Suzhou BenQ Hospital passed the review in February and became the second and first privately-owned hospitals in Nanjing and Suzhou, respectively, to obtain China's Grade Four Class A qualifications for mutual recognition and interconnection. This symbolizes a high degree of maturity in the integration of smart hospital information systems and the level of hospital-wide information sharing.
Nanjing BenQ Hospital is also the only privately-owned Grade Three Class A hospital in Nanjing and ranked 8th among the top 100 single-entity hospitals in China by Ereb National Social Medical Institutions in 2023. Suzhou BenQ Hospital has passed international JCI accreditation and Grade Three Hospital accreditation. The annual service volume of both BenQ hospitals has exceeded 2 million people.
