Taiwan's homegrown handheld ultrasound devices approved in ThailandJul 28, 2023

Compal Electronics announced on 27 July that its subsidiary Shennona and Aco Healthcare's handheld ultrasound products have successfully obtained approval in Thailand, officially entered the Thai market and obtained orders, making Compal's healthcare business overseas a big leap forward.

Compal's Vice Chairman, Mr Ray Chen, said that the handheld ultrasound is the featured product of the Group's smart healthcare and has been well received since its launch at the end of last year. In addition to FDA and Taiwan's FDA approvals, Compal has recently been given a nod in Thailand, which means that it has already passed the stringent medical equipment regulatory standards of Thailand and will be ready for shipment.

Compal's General Manager, Mr. Martin Wong, said, "In recent years, Compal has been actively expanding its overseas smart healthcare development, and has been working with Thailand medical groups to expand the Southeast Asian market. Compal has been working closely with its subsidiary, and is confident about entering the Thai smart healthcare market in the future.

Shennona said that it is expected to start shipping handheld ultrasound products to Thailand in the fourth quarter. In the future, the company will focus on high-end applications of medical imaging, and cooperate with industry partners on the Mini-PACS platform and AI medical imaging interpretation service, which will assist doctors to make diagnosis more quickly and accurately, and provide patients with more effective treatment plans.
