In response to the New Southbound Policy, Acer Medical has signed a Letter of Intent (MOU) with two Thai public hospitals to successfully implement Acer's VeriSee DR (AI-assisted diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy) to improve the quality of eye care for diabetic patients in Thailand.

VeriSee DR is the flagship ophthalmology AI product of Acer Medical, and has been adopted by more than 150 hospitals of all levels in Taiwan, including nearly 80% of medical centres, making it the most widely deployed ophthalmology AI smart medical device in Taiwan. VeriSee DR had been introduced to Wiang Pa Pao Hospital and Fort Ingkhayutthaborihan Hospital in Thailand earlier this year, helping doctors to improve the time and accuracy of their diagnosis of diabetic eye disease, helping patients to receive early treatment and reducing the risk of blindness caused by diabetic eye disease.

The expansion of Acer Medical's product in Thailand will not only bring more clinical applications of smart medical care to Thailand, but also help export Taiwan's smart medical products to the international market, bringing better quality of care to more diabetic patients worldwide.
