Adimmune's non-vaccine CDMO business estimated to ship 100 million doses by 2026Nov 10, 2022

In order to diversify its business, Adimmune is actively developing its CDMO (Commissioned Development and Manufacturing Services) business in addition to its human vaccine, rapid screening reagent and animal vaccine businesses, said Adimmune on 9 September. The company expects that, together with its own influenza stock solution, its own branded products and the CDMO business, the company's total shipment volume is expected to increase fivefold to 100 million doses by 2026 compared to this year.

In the first three quarters of this year, export sales accounted for 61% of the company's revenue, exceeding the target of export sales in the domestic market ahead of schedule. In particular, the quadrivalent influenza vaccine licensed in China from this year is expected to catch up with Taiwan in terms of price and shipment volume next year.

In addition to influenza vaccines, the rapid screening test, tetanus vaccine and the animal vaccines developed by its parent company, will be an important driving force for the company's development from this year onwards, with the construction of the tetanus vaccine plant already completed and mass production expected to begin in early 2024.

Although it only accounts for 5% of the company's revenue at present, CDMOs will receive orders faster than vaccines in the future, and the overall shipment volume will surpass that of vaccines, becoming the mainstay of the company's development.

The company's existing CDMO customer, Techdow Pharmaceutical , used to fill about 3 million doses of enoxaparin per year through CDMO. With the opening of the second filling line next year, it is expected that CDMO will be able to fill more than 40 million doses for Techdow by 2024.

In addition to its existing CDMO customers, Adimmune is also applying for certification from the FDA in Korea and ANVISA in Brazil to meet the needs of new customers.

With the rapid growth of CDMO orders, the company's total shipment volume is expected.
