Jing Si herbal tea(JSHT) has been proven in clinical trials and basic research and has a good effect on the supplemental treatment of COVID-19. Recently, the research and development team found that combining "Jing Si herbal tea" and its derivative "Jing Si herbal essential oil" can improve the protection of diabetic animals against SARS-CoV-2 and reduce the risk of severe disease. Jing Si herbal tea has a protective effect on inflammation of the blood vessels caused by COVID-19 infection. The study results indicated that Jing Si herbal tea could maintain blood vascular permeability, inhibit macrophage inflammatory signals (p-NF‑ κB-p65, TNF-α), and reduce macrophage nitric oxide release leading to avoiding the cytokine storm.
